Archimedes Sine filter OF-M12A for IMMP1.1W(BC)/ IMMP1.5W(BC)

Electroil inverters have an IGBT switching frequency on the power terminals variable between 5 and 15 kHz depending on the model.
This relatively high frequency, compared to the 50 Hz of the mains, in the presence of connecting cables between the inverter and the motor longer than 20 meters, can cause leakage capacitive currents to earth on the connecting cable of the motor. These leakage currents can cause high impulse overvoltages on the motor with a peak value sometimes exceeding 1000 V, which can limit the life of the insulation of the motors themselves if the materials used are not of adequate quality. Description

For operation with an inverter and motors connected by long cables, regardless of the use or not of the output filter, we always recommend the use of pumps with a motor with good insulation, and it is especially important that they are used:

  • phase separators in the stator head to prevent the properties of the high voltage insulating enamel from deteriorating over time,
  • insulated bearings (ceramic) to prevent short circuiting on the armature shaft at high frequency which could damage the balls.
