Grundfos SB 3-45 A 230V 15m cable, submersible groundwater pump with float switch

5” submersible pumps with versatile use in homes and gardens. SB pumps are supplied without an integrated control unit. SBA pumps have an integrated control unit to enable automatic operation. All pumps are supplied with a 15 m cable terminated with a 230 V plug. The SBA is a complete "all in one" pump. The basis is the proven SB pump, which is complemented by an integrated Grundfos PM pump control unit. The SBA submersible pump offers a simple solution for immediate pumping of potable and clean water. Just plug it in and you can pump immediately. See more

The SB and SBA pumps have undergone an innovation aimed at meeting the new pump efficiency requirements (MEI).

All sizes of SB and SBA submersible pumps are available in the following variants:

  • with integrated suction basket (1 mm mesh)
  • or with side entry and floating suction basket (1 mm mesh)
  • with or without float switch


The float switch enables automatic operation and protection against dry running. Turns the pump on/off at the set water level. The floating suction basket allows water to be pumped from the surface or just below the surface and prevents the entry of dirt from the bottom of the tank.

Additional information

SB pumps must be supplemented with an external control unit PM1 or PM2 for automatic operation.
